Miss Emily Myers To All Instructors
Emily Myers is a 20-year-old ballroom dance instructor from Kingsport, Tennessee, now living in Bristol. She was homeschooled her whole life alongside her twin brother and grew up taking classes at Bristol Academy and Westminster Presbyterian in Kingsport during high school. Along with a love for singing, piano, sewing, and gardening, Emily found a special joy in ballroom dancing, which she began at eight years old.
In high school, Emily and her brother started teaching their friends how to dance for homeschool proms and social events. What began as something fun to do with friends quickly turned into a passion for teaching others. By sixteen, she was organizing group lessons and leading dances, discovering how rewarding it was to help others find confidence and joy on the dance floor.
Today, Emily teaches and leads dances independently in Bristol, Kingsport, and Knoxville, and is also partnered with a studio in Johnson City. She loves seeing people connect through music and movement, whether it’s at a group class or a community dance. West Coast Swing is her favorite style for its versatility and expressive feel, but she enjoys sharing a little bit of everything with her students.
Emily is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bristol, TN, where she enjoys serving alongside her fiancé, Tom Meredith. Outside of dance, she finds joy in singing, cooking, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, bowling, and watching a good spy show.
