PERSONAL FINANCE

Economics & Personal Finance is a one semester high school Economics course.

 

  • Topics include a wide range of subjects, including basic fundamentals of personal economics, such as banks and banking, getting a loan, debit and credit cards, making a budget, getting a job, etc., and more complex material including International Economics, The Federal Reserve, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic systems.

 

  • Class time will consist of short lectures, discussions, individual and group exercises and quizzes, and review of student papers.

 

  • Work requirements outside of class include weekly reading and writing assignments, regular quizzes, in-class readings and critiques of student work.

 

  • There are no prerequisites to take this course, other than the student being capable of high school level course work.

 

  • A student successfully completing this class will earn 1/2 credit of high school Social Studies.

Economics & Personal Finance:

   $125.00 - payable at Spring registration

 

Sibling Discount:  If a family is taking multiple classes from Mr. Smith, there is a 20% discount on the total.  So, $200 for two concurrent classes.

 

Each Bristol Academy student must also pay for insurance and for use of the church.
