MRS. HANNAH STAM
Hannah Stam has had a long history with theatre. She began acting and singing at the age of five. Since then her love for theatre has not waivered. Over the past 17 years she has performed in over 50 different shows. Hannah also has had extensive experience directing and assistant directing for the Barter Youth Academy. During her seven years with Barter Youth Academy, Hannah worked with every age group from Pre-K through High School.
In May of 2023, Hannah graduated from Milligan University with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. During her time at Milligan she was an integral member of the Milligan Theater and Musical Theatre departments. She performed in eight main stage shows as well as several other smaller projects. In addition she was one of the main carpenters/electricians who built all of the sets and lighting for every show. Through her myriad of experiences with the Barter Youth Academy and at Milligan University Hannah has had the opportunity to work in just about every aspect of Theatre.
Hannah and her husband Jesse live in Bristol VA and are currently members of Abingdon Presbyterian Church. Hannah works as a Biology and Chemistry tutor at Virginia Highlands Community College while she goes through the process of applying to medical school. Hannah plans to pursue a postgraduate degree as a Doctor of Medicine (MD). Hannah strongly believes that participating in theatre is beneficial for all children/teens regardless of their overall life goals. She attributes much of her success in undergraduate school to skills she learned through theatre.
